Shree Swaminarayan Vijaytetram
Almighty, Lord of Akshardham, Sarva-avtari, Purna Purushottam Shree Swaminarayan Bhagawan bestowed His kindness on worldly souls by descending on earth in Chhapaiya, Uttar Pradesh, a village near Ayodhya, in northern India on 3 April 1781 (Chaitra Sud 9, Samvat 1837).
In his childhood, Bal Ghanshyam performed several charitras (act of blessings) and provided heavenly bliss to his devotees in Chhapaiya. After sending his parents, Bhaktimata and Dharmadev, to heavenly abode, at the age of 11, Bal Ghanshyam left his home in June 1792 (Ashadh Sud 10, Samvat 1849). He took the name Nilkanth Varni while on his journey across India (van vicharan). During his journey, he provided moksha to several sages and yogis, met and blessed his devotees and purified holy places of evils. At the age of 18 years, Nilkanth varni arrived in Gujarat.
